Just a quick note to say I am still alive and well. Christmas in Mexico was great, although the Christmas feel was sort of lacking without the snow and turkey. I think we can make up for that in the next few days. All by new years day I have two Christmas dinners and one wedding to partake in, all in different parts of the province. Hopefully the roads shape up or I may be missing the first of these three events. Aaah, the joys of Christmas in Saskatchewan. How I missed it. It's great to be home.

I hope all you are having wonderful holidays and spending it with great family and friends.

At school my lab is planning a birthday coffee for me. Now, this is really no big deal as they do this every month for the birthdays of that month. But, when I got the email it took me a few seconds to catch on. Birthday... What birthday?? Oh yeah. I have a birthday in December. With Christmas and all that jazz it is easy to forget my birthday. It just never seems to be priority, and now I also have an anniversary to remember. How easily things get pushed aside.

Well, I have some good news...We are going to Mexico for Christmas. I am pretty excited, it will be a blast. I nice holiday is just what everyone needs once in a while and I am really looking forward to it. Thanks to the in-laws for this one.

The end of the thesis is coming very slowly. I am having a hard time with motivation even though I am so close to the end. I seem to be a little preoccupied lately and having the holidays so near doesn't help with that and we all know I haven't been preoccupied with my website. I only have a few corrections that I need to do, but they seem to be dragging on and on and on.

Here's to the upcoming holidays, finishing my thesis and going to Mexico... Yea!
