![]() Okay, I promise that Marc did nothing wrong. I am posting this picture because it is a repost of something I posted quite a long time ago. For some reason the host of this picture is no longer available and you can not see it in my archives anymore. I am posting this for Dan, because we had a whole conversation about the infamous flaming JackAss. I had to illustrate. I hope you enjoy it, Dan! written by angela at 6:20 PM [+] | Saturday, January 29, 2005 Things have been a little hectic around here lately and I don't even know why. I am feeling the emotional stress and am subject to random tears. It is quite irritating to say the least. I don't even know the cause most of the time. I must be stressed out or something. Hmmm, I can't imagine why. I guess it is a little bit of everything. I have been getting a lot of work done at school and have even been subject to lots of compliments from my superiors, but all that only seems to add to the stress. The attention should make me feel better, am I crazy or what? We are also considering buying a house and have been doing a lot of money talking and budgeting. I think that may be the cause of a lot of stress. Money, money, money. I love having it, but I hate thinking about it. Oh well, without all this stuff going one, wouldn't life be boring. Okay, Mike and Sarah are here. We are going bowling. That will be fun! written by angela at 6:55 PM [+] | Thursday, January 27, 2005 I do so much work on my computer now-a-days that I get home and I have no desire to post anything on my website. Sometimes, by the end of the day, just looking at the computer makes me nauseous. I am afraid even my daily photo site is suffering. Sorry, y'all. Maybe my motivation will come back soon and I will start posting more regularly. written by angela at 11:02 AM [+] | Tuesday, January 25, 2005
![]() Well, I know I promised yesterday. I swear when I tried to post last night blogger was down. Here are my two favorites. There are more on my online photo album if you want to check them out. If you have been to Carmen and Dan's website then you will probably have seen most of them. Maybe, however, there will be a few new ones. written by angela at 10:18 PM [+] | Monday, January 24, 2005 I just got back from visiting my sister and brother-in-law, along with their new baby. I took a lot of pictures and will be posting some later today. I promise. written by angela at 1:46 PM [+] | Friday, January 21, 2005
![]() Isn't it beautiful. Of course, it doesn't mean much to most of your, but it is beautiful to me.... and probably Kurt too! written by angela at 1:43 PM [+] | Thursday, January 20, 2005 Keep your calendars open on February 4th and 10th. Louis' has some great bands to town and you won't want to miss either one of these shows. Click on link for more info. ![]() Here is a photo of Colby performing his favorite past time. Yep, he actually chases his tail. Speaking of Colby, does anyone want to take him home? He is tired of us and wants a new place to live. written by angela at 6:29 PM [+] | Tuesday, January 18, 2005
So I got back from 7 days of work at the Rabbit Lake Mine. Rabbit Lake is now just a big pit, close to Collins Bay, which is part of Wollaston Lake, which is the third largest lake in the province.A few of us went up there for work, and us office boys used to working 8:00-4:30 were forced to work from 6:45-7:00. And for 7 days in a row. They told us we had to work those ridiculously long hours (ok, I realize that these aren't that ridiculous of hours -- it's just a lot longer than I'm used to) so that the 'guys at the mine would respect you'. So we just worked 77 hours in the last 7 days with the guys at the mine and now they have 7 days off, and I was in to work this morning. What ever happened to working mine hours? Okay, I'm done with my rant. The place was like I would imagine a low security prison to be. We couldn't leave camp (mostly b/c of the extreme cold) where we slept, ate and engaged in all of our leisure activities, which mainly consisted of working out. We all loaded the bus to go to work, where they dropped us all off, then were there to pick us up to go back to camp. In my total 7 days there, I probably spent a total of 10 minutes actually outside. In all honesty, I would bet that the lake (Wollaston) would be beautiful in the summer, and I hear that the fishing is terrific there. In fact, the mine supplies fishing boats for the workers while they're on their week of work up there (note the proper use of the they're/their/there, Mr. Henderson?) and they have freezers for the workers to store the fish they caught. In summary, I'm extremely glad I'm home. I missed my wife so much. I missed my new bed, even though I hadn't really gotten to know it yet. I missed my roommate who I rarely see. I even missed Colby. Most of all, I missed my wife. written by Marc at 7:51 PM [+] | Is it possible to get sick of looking at computer monitors. I have been staring at one ever since 8:30 this morning, with the exception of one 15 minute break to eat, and now every time I look at the monitor I get nauseous. In order to write this post I have to look at the keyboard. The next three hours in my digital imaging class will be very interesting at this rate. The class is taught in a computer lab. Oh, I feel weazy (if that is even a word?!). written by angela at 3:31 PM [+] |
![]() This is the final image I created for an assignment due in my Art class this week. The assignment is to create an image either about a subject that is personal and important to your life or about a subject important to the world, a social issue, politics, ect. If it is not obvious, I am more self centered as I choose to do an image that was more personal and deals with issues I am struggling with right now. I think the statement of this image is quite obvious, as I created it with the statement in mind. I am curious to see if it is as obvious to others as it is to me. Am I successful in communicating my message? Please let me know what you think this image means. written by angela at 7:36 AM [+] | What an interesting morning. I have never seen the car coated so thick with ice. Marc got a good early morning work out trying to scrape the windows. It obviously rained over the night. I just hope I can make it through the day with out wiping out anywhere. It is pretty treacherous out there. Drivers and walkers beware! written by angela at 7:33 AM [+] | Monday, January 17, 2005 Marc is coming home tonight... I am so excited. Although, he might not make it home, because the weather up North is bad and the plane may not be able to take off. Oh, I hope they come home. I just saw a freezing rain warning flash on the television so I hope it goes away. Bad, bad weather. In honour of Marc coming home I decided to bake some bread. If he doesn't get home tonight then I will have to eat the fresh bread alone. How lonely?.. It isn't just regular bread either. I have never made this before, but I found the recipe on the internet. It is a Black Olive Bread. I was inspired by some black olive bread that I bought at IGA the other day. It was so good and I wanted to be able to make it. I hope it works out, but most of all, I hope that Marc comes home in one piece. UPDATE: Marc is home safe and sound and the bread is awesome.... a great recipe. written by angela at 3:56 PM [+] | Saturday, January 15, 2005

![]() I just love Goslings Gold Rum. I found a place online that sells it and I was quite surprised. I thought the only place you could get it was Bermuda. I decided to buy some and went through all the motions of buying some Rum online. Then when I got to the end and was about the click the last check out button, I saw the total bill. Wow, the rum was only $43, but the shipping was $2002. Holy crap, $2045 for two bottles of Rum. I don't think so. I guess I have to pay for the persons plane ride to bring it to me. written by angela at 6:39 PM [+] | Thursday, January 13, 2005 -49 tomorrow with the windchill. Wow, according to Environment Canada, at -49 exposed skin can freeze as fast as 2 minutes. Well, I am planning on walking to school tomorrow morning. I don't think I can get there in less then 2 minutes. Sounds like fun. I know today was bloody cold. My legs were burning by the time I got there. I don't think that is a good thing. I really should of bought those ski pants that were on sale a few weeks ago. If I am going to continue to walk to school, I am going to need to buy ski pants and new boots. I hope my money bags gets home soon.... I miss ya honey! Marc is all the way in Rabbit lake which is so far north that I don't even know how long it would take to drive there. In fact, you probably couldn't even drive there except with a great 4x4 and only in winter when the lakes are frozen. I hope he is staying warm all the way out in the boonies without me. I much prefer him here to keep me warm. EDIT: actually it is -53 right now. Brrrrrr.... two more degrees and we are in environment canada's most severe warnings. Isn't this fun! I just love this weather. So exciting, what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger. written by angela at 10:05 PM [+] | Tuesday, January 11, 2005
![]() Here are a couple more wedding photos. It is hard to post wedding pictures, because there are too many great ones to pick from. I can't possible post all of the ones I want, so here are just a few. Again, I have to give credit to the wonderful photographer, Nathalie from Celestial Photography. ![]() written by angela at 2:18 PM [+] | Last night I slept awesome. I guess the night before was just a freak event. Or maybe last night was, I hope it is the former. In fact, I slept so good I couldn't get out of bed this morning and I slept in way too long. And now the Linux portion of my computer has broke so I can't get any of the work done that I was hoping to today. Oh well, such is life. At least tonight I have my digital imaging class, so I can look forward to that starting up again. It will be taught by a graduate student for this half of the year, rather then the professor that taught it last semester. I am curious to see how this is going to go over. This is the first time anyone other then the original prof has taught the class. It is due to the university cutting funding in the Arts programs. I do not like it at all. You would never see this sort of thing happening in a science class, yet it is happening more and more in Art classes. I guess the university has it's priorities. written by angela at 1:55 PM [+] | Monday, January 10, 2005 This weekend we bought a new bed. It is so comfortable and soft, but the box spring won't fit up the stairs. So, we have to order a split box spring and that will take over a week to come in. For now we are sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Do you think that would effect the mattress? I had the worst sleep ever last night. Kinda discouraging if you ask me. This wonderful bed and all I could do is toss and turn. Maybe, like the dog and his new food, I just need to adjust, or maybe it is because we don't have the box spring set up. Marc is going out of town for a whole week, leaving today. I guess I will have the whole bed to myself so we can work out our differences. Hopefully, by the time Marc comes home I can sleep straight through the night. The bed is great and it has so much potential. Maybe it is because I have never slept on anything so soft before and the pillow top makes me a lot warmer. I can't stand sleeping when I am hot. I may have to start sleeping with the window open. Any suggestions? written by angela at 7:53 AM [+] | Saturday, January 08, 2005 Question about dogs: Does anybody know if changing dog food wreaks havoc on their gastro-intestinal system? Colby has been emitting the most rank fumes for the past few days. If so, we need to switch back. Just seconds ago, my wife just left my side to go cuddle with the stinky-ass dog across the room. My wife. With the stinky dog. How am I supposed to take that? Honestly. written by Marc at 10:24 PM [+] | Friday, January 07, 2005 If you want to know what I did today, just follow this link and watch the little cartoon. written by angela at 3:56 PM [+] | Thursday, January 06, 2005
![]() I absolutely LOVE the wedding photos. Our photographer, Nathalie from Celestial Photography, did a wonderful job. There are so many great ones, it is hard to pick a favourite. I don't know what one I am going to put in the great frame we got as a wedding gift. ![]() written by angela at 10:03 PM [+] | Tuesday, January 04, 2005 I just read a novel, the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon and it was a really easy read. It was pretty obvious that the narrator was atheist, and this paragraph really stood out to me: People believe in God because the world is very complicated and they think it is very unlikely that anything as complicated as a flying squirrel or the human eye or a brain could happen by chance. But they should think logically and if they thought logically they would see that they can only ask this question because it has already happened and they exist. And there are billions of planets where there is no life, but there is no one on those planets with brains to notice. And it is like if everyone in the world was tossing coins eventually somewould would get 5,698 heads in a row and they would think they were very special. But they wouldn't be because there would be millions of people who didn't get 5,698 heads. written by Marc at 10:17 PM [+] | Monday, January 03, 2005
